Glenn D. Magpantay, Esq. is a long-time civil rights attorney, professor of law and Asian American Studies, and LGBTQ rights activist. Glenn has been organizing in the community for over 30 years. He is a Soros Equality Fellow with the Open Society Foundations. 

He co-founded and served as Executive Director of the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA). Before he was a nationally recognized voting rights attorney at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF). He served as a Trustee to the Boehm Foundation. Today, he is principal at Magpantay & Associates: a nonprofit consulting and legal services firm.

He is a thought-leader at the intersection of race, immigration, and queerness, regularly publishing scholarly articles, opinion-editorials, and public reports. He has given commentary to The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Associated Press, MSNBC, and NBC.

He inspires new legal minds by teaching at Hunter College/ CUNY. Glenn attended SUNY at Stony Brook, and as a beneficiary of affirmative action, graduated cum laude from the New England School of Law, in Boston.
