Current Topic
Alaska’s Ranked Choice Voting
The Alaska Advisory Committee (the “Committee”) seeks to examine whether Alaska’s ranked choice voting laws, policies, and practices infringe upon or dilute the voting rights of Alaskans, including any concerns related to discrimination based on race, color, age, disability, or other federally protected category. The project will assess the impact of these measures on access to the ballot, voter understanding, and equal participation in the electoral process with the intention of identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations accordingly.
