Child Welfare System

The Hawai'i Advisory Committee (Committee) to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights seeks to examine the child welfare system in Hawai'i and its impact on Native Hawaiian children and families in the areas of discrimination/disparate impact, denial of equal protection of the laws under the Constitution, including in the administration of justice. The Committee intends to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations accordingly.
