The Wyoming Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is hosting a web-based public forum to collect testimony from impacted individuals regarding the potential civil rights concerns related to housing discrimination and fair housing practices in the state. The Committee intends to hear from tenants and purchasers, as well as landlords and sellers. The details for the landlord public forum are as follows:

Members of the public are encouraged to share their experiences and perspectives on housing discrimination in the state. The Committee will also accept written comments related to this study. Please send written statements on this topic to Liliana Schiller, at lschiller@usccr.gov by October 18, 2023.

Committee Chair James O’Brien said, "Housing is a critical issue across the state of Wyoming, and the Committee is looking forward to hearing from experts, officials, and those who have been impacted by discrimination. We want to gather all of the relevant information so that we can prepare recommendations that are bipartisan, balanced, and thoughtful."
