The Georgia Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is conducting a study on civil asset forfeiture and its impact on communities of color in the state. This is the first in a series of meetings the Committee will host to hear public testimony on the topic. The Committee seeks to examine the extent to which civil asset forfeiture practices in Georgia may have a discriminatory impact on the basis of race, color, or national origin. This meeting is free and open to the public.
